European Museum Night - Coming Soon

Every year in the month of May, this year on the 23rd , the European Museum Night event returns, promoted by the Ministry of Culture to promote knowledge of Europe's heritage and cultural identity.
Since 2005, it has simultaneously involved museums from all over Europe with the aim of promoting European cultural identity in all EU countries.

The Civic Museums of Piacenza will be participating with a special opening from 8:00 PM to midnight (last admission at 11:00 PM) at a special price of €1 , allowing visitors access to all sections and a rich program of activities, the details of which will be published in a few days.

Civic Museums of Palazzo Farnese

1946-2026: Italian women voted for the first time. The Civic Museums are celebrating this anniversary with a Museum Night dedicated to women in history, art, and culture. An evening of themed tours, workshops for all ages, live music, and tastings to discover stories, women, and museum collections from a new perspective.

Activities for adults, children, families

• Thematic visits to sections of the museum linked to the general theme with departures every 30 minutes
• Children's workshop (3 total)
• Workshop for adults (3 total)
• Exhibition of some works carried out by students participating in the teaching activities

Live music and local wine tasting on the loggia

"The Architect of the Ocean Depths" Activity

Paleoichnology expert Girolamo Lo Russo will illustrate the Paleodictyon ichnofossil typology, the fascinating hexagonal networks of tracks left on the seabed of the ancient Piacenza sea by an unknown and elusive prehistoric marine organism.
