Accessibility
The Palazzo Farnese Museums are accessible to people with motor disabilities and to all visitors who need to avoid stairs.
Priority entry
Visitors with disabilities or special health needs are given priority at ticket offices and museum entrances.
Admission is free for disabled people and one family member or other companion who can demonstrate their enrollment in social and health care services, in accordance with Ministerial Decree 507/97 updated to Ministerial Decree 13/2019 and Law 104/92 (appropriate certification may be required).
Access to spaces
Ticket office
The ticket office is accessed via a short flight of stairs.
Access for visitors with mobility disabilities and those with special health needs is provided by a glass stairlift accessible from the courtyard that leads under the loggia in front of the ticket office entrance.
Art Gallery
The standard entrance is on the first floor and involves climbing the Scalone, which consists of three flights of stairs, the starting point for visiting the Pinacoteca.
Access for visitors with mobility disabilities and those with special health needs is guaranteed via the elevator under the loggia, which leads directly to the first floor of the Art Gallery.
Archaeological and Carriages
The Archaeological Museum and the Carriage Museum are located in the basement, accessible by the elevator located under the loggia.
To visit some of the slightly raised rooms of the archaeological complex, a stairlift is available to help you climb approximately 5 steps.
Civic
The civic section is located on the same floor as the ticket office and has no stairs or differences in level.
Toilets
Disabled-accessible restrooms are available on every visitable floor of the Museums.
