Inside the Sibyls Exhibition: Three Special Encounters with the Museums' Director

Published on 24 March 2026 • education , events

The Director of the Civic Museums of Palazzo Farnese, Antonio Iommelli , will personally lead the public on a special series of guided tours, offering a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the contents of the exhibition “Sibyls. Voices beyond time, beyond stone” .

On March 26, April 2 and April 9 , the tour will begin with a short introductory lesson in Room 7, starting at 4.30 pm and ending by 6 pm , dedicated to the figure of the Sibyls, and will then continue with a guided tour of the exhibition.

These events represent a precious opportunity, as they allow visitors to delve into the heart of the curatorial project directly through the voice of its creator. The exhibition was conceived by Iommelli as a fascinating and nuanced exploration of the figure of the Sibyls: prophetesses of antiquity whose symbolic, spiritual, and artistic legacy has endured through the centuries.

The exhibition, hosted at Palazzo Farnese in Piacenza from December 5, 2025, to May 3, 2026 , offers a journey that intertwines past and present, bringing together historic works and current artistic languages. The series of guided tours led by the Director further enriches this experience, offering insights, historical and artistic insights, and interpretations that allow one to fully grasp the complexity and allure of a theme that still speaks today "beyond time and beyond stone."
