Late medieval frescoes from Piacenza churches and surrounding places of worship are on display.
It houses around four hundred specimens collected by the Piacenza count Antonio Parma (1787-1850) in the first half of the nineteenth century.
The term Fasti refers to a series of self-celebratory representations that exalt the fame of the Farnese family through the pictorial representation of the most important events in which family members are protagonists.
The Civic Museum's sculpture collection is an indispensable source for understanding Piacenza's figurative culture in the 12th and 13th centuries.
The Museum has a collection of high-quality ceramics and glass, which came here thanks to donations from private collectors.
