Since May 2nd, the Liver of Piacenza has been the protagonist of the international exhibition "The Etruscans: From the Heart of Ancient Italy" at the Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco.
Mayor Katia Tarasconi and Councilor for Culture Christian Fiazza will officially welcome the work back to its display case at Palazzo Farnese on Thursday, September 24th at 3:00 PM, alongside Antonio Iommelli, director of the Civic Museums.
The meeting on Thursday afternoon will be the occasion to draw up a first assessment of the prestigious world showcase that the Etruscan Liver and Piacenza have been able to benefit from thanks to the exhibition in California, but also to inaugurate the Special free opening - until the evening of Sunday 27 September - of the Archaeological-Roman Section of the Civic Museums , which can be visited by collecting the appropriate entrance coupon at the ticket office during the usual hours:
- Thursday 24/9 from 3pm to 6pm
- Friday 25/9 from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 6pm
- Saturday 26/9 with continuous hours from 10am to 6pm
- Sunday 27/9 with continuous hours from 10am to 6pm
A special initiative to celebrate the return of the Etruscan Liver after more than three months in the United States, where the exhibition at the Legion of Honor Museum attracted a total of 98,617 visitors, representing an extraordinary vehicle for promoting our region and the historical and cultural heritage it preserves.
