Saint Jerome
Johann Christoph Storer | 1643
Currently on display: Palazzo Farnese Civic Museums, Art Gallery
St Jerome, draped in a red cloak, turns towards an angel dressed in a white and yellow robe, who is holding a trumpet. In the top right-hand corner, the head of a lion can be seen.
A sheet of oval-shaped paper, signed ‘Cristoforo Parma’, is glued to the back, confirming the artist’s name.
