During the 2026 Swift Festival, as is tradition, ornithologist Stefano Soavi and experts from the Piacenza Wildlife Rescue Center in Niviano (Rivergaro) will tour the courtyard and exterior of Palazzo Farnese to observe the colony that inhabits this building. The experts will explain the lifestyle, characteristics, and extraordinary peculiarities of this animal. If ready for release, some rescued swifts being cared for at the Wildlife Rescue Center will be released, and how fallen or injured swifts can be saved.
